There are many reasons why we don’t achieve our goals, perhaps you don’t even have a goal!!!
Goal as defined is a desired result that a person or a system visualize, plans and commits to achieve. We all have set goals. Either set with the right perspective or the wrong perspective. We just have goals. But the major difference is that most times we set goals that isn’t really our own. We set goals maybe because we admire red it in another person’s life or another person’s way of living.
However, if you are confused of whether or not you are going to achieve that your set goal, I recommend you pull your subconscious self together and check out for these 8 signs.
1. When your goal looks so vague
“Vague goals delivers vague results.” ~ Robin Sharma.
One of the most important things for achievement of set goals is to have explicitly stated goals; goal setting requires clarity.
You are far from achievements if you are working on just vague goals. Instead of having a vague goal of “losing 30 pounds within 1 weeks” make it more specific and real. You go by “I want to lose 30 pounds within 1 week; so I will run a mile around the indoor lane every morning, I will go to the gym every evening etc.”
2. When You Worry About How Smart Or Capable You Are.
“You are what you are by what you think and believe” – Oprah Winfrey
It is self-killing to worry about how smart or capable you are after you had set a particular goal or your-self; it will create in you a negative overview of things and deprive you of better progress.
Stop worrying about how capable you are instead if something seems to be wrong, fix it then tackle your worries, face the damn task, it’ then you will realize that you were just the perfect person to achieve that goal!!!
3. When You Put Things Till “After”; Waiting For The Perfect Time.
You put of tasks till after, waiting for the perfect time not knowing that there is no such time as perfect.

You will die childless.”

When you start putting things off till after and you cannot control your attitude of procrastinating, you will definitely not achieve that goal.

All these are fears and “FEAR is Forgetting Everything Is All Right.” Everyone hates failure, that’s why they fear it; meanwhile all fears are failure!!!
Face it and face it now. There is no point in putting off that task till after. Once it is your goal, begin, don’t stop until you truly achieve that your desired success.
4. When You Begin To Get Bothered About What Others Feel Towards You.

Sure people will have feelings, sure people must think, but when you start to care/get carried away by what other people feel and think about you, you can never achieve your goal. That is when you will begin to see reasons why you think you need to change your goal or you need to copy someone else’s goal.
5. When You Can’t Make Decisions.
“You cannot make progress
Without making decisions.”

When you find it difficult to make decisions, then you can never attain your goals. Decision brings action; without any decision, no action can be made, no step can be taken.
Yes, there are a lot of risks attached to life but there is always a way out; inability to make decisions at appropriate time is the inability to realize the way out.
In no case should you be scared of making strong decisions for the actualization of your goal; embrace anything that is going to be useful, and anything that isn’t going to be useful for the achievement of your goal, rule it out. Once it is not useful, it is not useful.
Disney Roy once said something – “It’s not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.”
6. You Rip On Successful People
“If you envy successful people, you create a negative force field of attraction that repels you from ever doing the things you need to do to be successful. If you admire successful people, you create a positive field of attraction that draws you towards becoming more and more like the kinds of people that you want to be like.” ~ Brian Tracy.
When you begin to hold beefs with other people’s success, you can never achieve yours; because instead of searching for better ways to explore yourself to achieve your set goals, all you will be doing is picking faults on successful people’s path. Ant the pretty truth is that they are already successful and have achieved their goals and you are yet to achieve yours.
Celebrate other’s success, be happy for other’s when they achieve their desired success, through that you get a positive attraction from them towards the actualization of your own goals.
7. You are living in an environment that doesn’t support your goals
What you see, hear, and associate yourself with (your environment), builds your subconscious belief about yourself. Some environment helps you keep a strong mindset which will favor your goal, while some environment bring you down.
Try to pay close attention to your environment and realize speedily whether your environment favors your goal; peradventure it doesn’t then you are not going to achieve that goal. There is no two way about it!!!
When you live in a non-favorable environment, you tend to get geared away from success.
8. When Your “F” Comes Before “W”

Though letter F comes before letter W in the normal English alphabets, but when your own F comes before your W (i.e. your Fun comes before work) then you are on the track to failure.
Though the importance of fun cannot be neglected; because it brings our self into a settled state and helps us to do things in a more relaxed way, but the fact is that fun in any sort should come after we have explored and exhausted all our working time. Even the best of fun, comes when you look back and realize that you have achieved your stated goals. The only way to truly be satisfied and comfortable to have the best of fun, is to have a fulfilled work.
N.B. Though I stated you should look out for these signs to be sure whether you are going to achieve you set goal. Even though they reflect in your life, you don’t have to stay depressed and settle for the less or just belief that you can’t achieve it anymore. I only stated them for you to be recall your consciousness. All you have to do now is get up, pick up new hobbies, zero self-doubt, map out better work strategies towards achieving your goals, and begin to work smart.
